About: Drop Bear er en elektroakustisk trio i skjæringspunktet mellom elektronisk beatmusikk, improvisert musikk og jazz. Med en felles kjærlighet for tunge grooves, elektroniske lydlandskap og fengende melodier fremfører bandet både originale komposisjoner og åpne improvisasjonspartier der form, groove og tekstur står sentralt. Samspillet deres er eksplosivt, ettersom de tre fremadstormende musikerne har bakgrunn fra ulike kjente prosjekter som I LIKE TO SLEEP, Bliss Quintet og Alex Ventling Wavemakers. Drop Bear har spilt på Oslo Jazzfestival og andre scener rundt om i Norge. Drop Bear is an electroacoustic trio, at the intersection of electronic beat music, improvised music, and jazz. With a shared love for heavy grooves, electronic soundscapes and melodies that stick, the band performs both original compositions and open improvisational passages where form, groove, and texture are central. Their interplay is explosive, as the three rising-star musicians have a history in various known projects such as I LIKE TO SLEEP, Bliss Quintet and Alex Ventling Wavemakers.
